*puts on her announcer voice*

So it's seventy-five degrees and sunny in the land of rain today.

The apocalypse is coming, run for the hills.

*coughs*

Okay, maybe not. I'm spending my day filling out job application things and doing useful things, for the most part. In point of fact, I'm spending as much of my free time as possible doing such things this week and next. A friend of mine who is also in need of a job made a pact with me: Starting today, we're both going to spend all our free time looking for a job. We're to bother one another if we catch the other online, and not out jobhunting in person, and make sure what is being done online is job applications. n.n It's awesome.

I need to start making a weekly to-do list on my LJ or something.

Other things I'm working on today, in between job applications, or while pages are loading:

My fiction! I'm working on the second part of Sara's Visit at the moment, which is Kira/Setsuna from Kira-sempai's PoV. I'm also supposed to be working on a Firefly story, revising and finishing an old GW story, and copying over some of my poetry to upload.

Memorizing random pieces of music from my iPod! (Code for: listening to crap while I work.)

Worrying about my boyfriend and his trip to Kosovo where he's visiting his parents. (He drove down to Denver today, is staying the night in a hotel, and flying out of DIA in the morning. He probably won't be in contact again until he comes back in two weeks. On the one hand, I'll miss talking to him. On the other, I think this break will be good for us. Less distraction, more job hunting time, etc.)

I'm supposed to get the lawn mowed today or tomorrow, while it's sunny out. I hate having to do it, but it really is good for me if I do it regularly. We have a push-mower. Can anybody say "upper body strength"?

I really want to get some of the sketches in my head out and into paper-and-pencil form, but I really kinda suck at drawing. *sigh* I'll work on that another time.

I think that's all for today. Oh, except that with Mom's help this morning, I got Firefox set up so I can open more than one instance of it at a time, and have a "Jobhunting" profile set up on it. Now I can still use tabbed browsing, and keep away from my distraction tabs. XD

Now that's all for now. If I think of anything else, I'll update later on. Wish me luck with this job thing, I could use it.

Upper body strength. Don't forget your ass, too- if you don't want to strain your back, you'll probably have to use some of that, too. I know all about pushing things at this point. I'd probably find a push mower rediculously easy now, but when we had one, I didn't like doing it either. 'Course, now my lawn gets mowed by other people that I don't know, but anyways.

Good luck with the job search! May your interviews come quickly and easily, and may you find something to love about whatever job you get.

Ttfn, gotta go to work. *g*

Oh, definitely pushing with the legs and ass too, I know how to work it. I've mowed the lawn a couple times already, it really isn't that hard if you get it done when it's still reasonable. My biggest problem is honestly that I'm out of shape enough that I get the first quarter of it done and I end up collapsing because I can't breathe. But it only takes about fifteen minutes to catch my breath, and after that I'm usually much better for the rest of the yard. Just gotta make sure I'm taking frequent water breaks. n.n

Thanks for the good job energy! *huggles* Have fun, sweetheart.
