It's snowing. Again.
X.X
I thought we were done with this snow thing.
Updates on personal life:
fmtenpo payed for a couple of extra nights in his hotel, since with the previous storms and my work schedule we hadn't had a lot of time to actually spend with one another. He was scheduled to leave sometime today. He spent up until we went to sleep last night periodically popping up out of the bed and peering out the window. We didn't go to sleep until about two in the morning, at least. So sometime between two/two thirty this morning and six, it snowed a good four inches or so. *sigh* Which lead to M's internal alarm going off sometime around six, and him getting up, peering out the window, and pacing frantically about the room for several minutes. Also, trying to wake me up, which is rather like trying to make a sloth move when he doesn't feel like it. So while he was
outside checking how bad the snow was, (I was still curled up with my head buried beneath the covers,) my mother called to say "He needs to get going if he's going to make it home safely."
*facepalm*
So here I am, at not-yet-eight in the morning, wide awake, home, and worrying. He's told me he'll keep in touch along the way, so I don't have to worry too hard. Mom came and picked me up, to keep him from having to make that extra trek in his journey (it's a seven hour drive back to Durango from here) and to make sure I got home safely so neither of them needed to worry about my safety as well.
I cannot wait for rain instead of snow. Rain doesn't pile up quite the same. *heads off to do more packing in order to get to Seattle sooner*
So to those of my friends also living in Colorado, good luck, stay warm, stay safe, and let me know you are all home, safe, warm, and well.
I love you all dearly.
